Video Planner

Video script writing and teleprompter

Write YouTube scripts with talking points, then read them back on a teleprompter on your phone or smartwatch while you film.

A good script makes filming quicker and editing easier. Video Planner gives you a place to write it, keep your key points in order, and read it back while you film.

Talking points and a full script

Start with the points you want to make, in order. Then write the full script underneath, or just film from the points if that's how you work. The word count and spoken-time estimate tell you roughly how long the video will be before you film it.

Mark what you'll need to film

Mark shots in the script as you write, like [B Roll: close-up of the keyboard]. The shooting plan pairs each part of the script with its shot, and any marked shots missing from the shot list can be added in one go.

A teleprompter on your phone or watch

Open the prompter on your phone and the script scrolls at a speed you set. You can also put the prompter on a smartwatch, so your points are on your wrist while you talk to the camera.

Writing together

If someone else writes or checks your scripts, they can work on the same script at the same time and see each other's changes as they happen.

Frequently asked questions

Does the teleprompter need an app?

No. It runs in the phone's web browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

Can I keep my scripts private from some of my team?

Yes. Each person's role decides what they can see. A role can have scripts denied completely, view-only or editable.
